Kamran Akmal – What A Day I’ve Had

by admin on July 29, 2010 · 1 comment

The first morning of the first Test at Trent Bridge. On a day when Mohammad Asif may have bowled slightly quicker than a club seamer and Mo’ Amir may have taken three wickets, but bowled a number of spectacular wides. But it was Pakistan’s ‘keeper Kamran Akmal who would have paid good money for either of the above performances.

To describe his display with the gloves as untidy, is something of an understatement. He has dropped balls, missed balls for byes and grassed chances and generally looked out of sorts. But is he having a bad day, or is he just, well, rubbish?

Is there a worse wicketkeeper in world cricket? You decide…

And you wrote this BEFORE that missed stumping. Can’t remember seeing worse than this in international cricket.
